It reduces pressure over the sensitive outer edges of the tongue and bars while it promotes comfort and contact and discourages fixing and blocking. This bit is often chosen to encourage a true and correct outline with optional extra control.
Salox Gold mouthpiece metal is a high copper alloy specifically formulated to reach rapidly and maintain the temperature of a horse’s mouth, and thereby encourage bit acceptance.
